Seaside Tree Climbing / 11am-4pm / Oak tree between Appley Tower and play park / Launch of Seaside Tree Climbing inc other tree-y events with Goodleaf and Gift of Nature. Enjoy the unique experience of tree climbing with ropes and harnesses. Climb to 60ft and take in the stunning views of Appley and the Solent. Ages 10 & over. One hour per climb. Pathway Over the Sea / 11am-7pm / The Depozitory, Nelson Street Taking inspiration from the Isle of Wight’s coastal heritage, artist Tim Johnson, is creating a new installation commissioned especially for Ryde Arts Festival. Using local and sustainably sourced natural materials Tim will explore the structure and symbolism of pier architecture.

Pick up Sticks: 11am-4pm / The Depozitory / Workshop will explore sticks as a creative building material with nails and tape expect to make towers, jetties and piers. Free but space limited.
